2000 Accord - AntiTheft issue
I have a 2000 Accord EX. I recently replaced the driver side window regulator. since then I'm having issues with the anti-theft (horn goes off) when unlocking the driver side. I can unlock successfully (no alarm sounding) if I use key to open passenger side. Note, just have keys, no push-button fob.
Prior to changing the regulator we never had an issue like this.
Car is used so not sure if anti-theft device was installed after the purchase - don't have a code, other than the radio code
I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting battery and same for the door wiring. Have also tried the online info of unlock, lock, unlock and let it run for a while.
At one point the anti-theft engaged and I couldn't start the car.
Only thing that seems to work is using passenger side to open the door - which I'd prefer not to keep doing.
Thoughts? any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: 2000 Accord - AntiTheft issue
EX trim level came with factory security system.
Sounds like an issue with driver's door lock **** switch, which is incorporated as part of the door lock actuator.
Since this issue started with the window regulator replacement, I recommend you take the door panel off and examine the condition of wiring going to the actuator. There are two 3P connectors going to the actuator, one of the connector is for the door lock **** switch.
You can also purchase the remote transmitter to work with the system for keyless entry.
