Soon to be S2K owner...
Hey guys, I'm going to be trading in my SE-R Spec-V for a 2000-2002 S2000. I've always loved the Honda roadster, so much that I have a model of one on my desk that I built when I was 13. I've done alot of research and found that the S2K is one of the most well designed Honda's out there. And the fact that it makes 237HP all engine is insane. My plans are to go with an N/A build and keep it a daily driver that is fun to 'drive' =D.
I just wanted to ask if there were some things I should be aware of before I buy. Also how's the insurance (I'm with Allstate)? How do they handle on a rainy day?
P.S. I also used to own a 2000 Civic Si <3 loved it.

S2000 is number 18 on the top 20 most expensive cars to insure.

Rainy days they handle just as good as any RWD car, they suck. Nothing really to be aware of, just keep up with maintenance and keep it in the back of your head that any ******* could slice your top at any time and/or steal your seats.
hey for insurance im payin 305 for every two months and im 20years old right now..i got a quote from all states and they wanted 600per month!!so i went to aisinsurance.com and got with mercury insurance ..=]
the best thing you can do with insurance is just call and get a quote. Theres too many variables to guess what your rate will be. Age, driving record, company, and discounts etc. Mine is only $99 a month but like i said theres a lot of variables that we aren't going to be able to take into consideration for you. Driving in the rain isnt any big deal. Just drive at a speed safe for conditions and you shouldn't have any problems.
As for how I drive my car, it will be a DD, but stored in winter. When I drive though... I love taking my car now down mountain roads at 80mph around turns. =P Ive driven 240sx's and such in that manner and yeah RWD does oversteer, but then again FWD understeer so lose lose. Anyways my car is actually going under my dads insurance as his car and put me as primary on his buick. He's 50 and has never been in an accident or gotten a ticket.
