Did CRX DX and Civic DX have the same exact brake setups?
I want to get these things called Alloyz or something which cover up the part of the front disc which gets ugly rust all over it, and then covers up my rusted *** drum covers for the rear. They claim not to make any for an 89 Civic DX but they have it for an 89 CRX DX. Would it be the same thing?

Do they include LED washer squirters or LED tire stems with your order?
Just take your rotors off, tape off the swept surface, and spray 'em high temp black. Same with your drums.
And yes, it would be the same thing.

Wait it says 88-89 and 90-91 are different. What could be different? Think they would still work?
Save the money and buy a can or two of high temp silver paint. Same look half the cost. Unless you factor in the cost of your time. I usually charge myself 50-60 dollars an hour whenever I work on my car. That way it's like I went to the dealer to get it done.
Even if I did rust will still probably come back up. Back in the day I had this cheap Monza exhaust (came with the car) and it was all rusted so I sanded it down and painted it with VHT Black and it was ok for a little while then rust would just come through again. So I think painting is a waste of time as it will only last for a few weeks. At least with the cover it's aluminum so I won't have to deal with it. I agree the color choices are not very good, I would take one and paint it black if it wasn't powdercoated already since the paint I would use wouldn't be as good.

I believe you, I just think it's pretty dumb these websites separate things that are the same.
Oh and I now noticed they do come in black. So if I do get them I will get that as it's not for show.

ok this is from my personal experience.88-89 and 90-91 have different rotors.so yes it will affect how you change your brakes.some late 89 cars were sold as 90 check your door sticker to make sure you know what year it was manufactured and buy your brakes accordingly.
