Default Crankshaft seals

Would bad crankshaft seals Cause me to lose about 1 1/2 quarts or oil everyday? I know my motor is leaking oil threw the crank seals, but That much?? I have to fill it up with oil every three days. I don't see any other leaks, and it's not burning oil. I drive about 50-65 miles a day

Thats something I didn't know. It dosn't seem like like I'm losing so much oil when I look under neath the car, but when I pull out the dipstick everyday then level is dropping and dropping. Thanks

you could be burning a lot of oil throught the PCV system, check intake manifold for oil residue.

Default comments about my accord oil seal leak....

op
if oil is from one of the front engine seals you will see a lot of oil mess at the bottom juncture where engine meets lower timing cover.
one of my seals opened up about a year after i did my timing/balancer belts/wp and i did not touch those seals as they were factory seals and with only 70k miles on vehicle.
from one oil change to the next my oil quart average had declined from 1200 miles to 400-pretty abrupt.
not wanting to do labor just yet to replace seals, i bought/poured in a main seal sealer which claimed to be extra strength at my last oil change. don't remember the sealer brand name.
have not done an oil change yet, but quart oil mileage has already gone up from 400 to 800 miles. i don't plan to add more sealer as i have read posts to do a one time treatment only as repeated treatments may harm the remaining good seals.
next i will begin using high mileage oil when i change.
i have an old mazda that i have been using a high mileage oil for a long time with a bad rear main seal and my oil quart mileage has gone up about 200 miles/quart. so, i think a high mileage oil helps.

I checked and changed the pcv Already, but it didn't help. I do see oil all over the bottom end of the timing cover. I tried using Slick 50, but then I was searching and found that it isn't good to use in the engine for it will soften seals. looks like i'm gonna have to pull out the motor and change the seals which stinks because I just did the timing belt a month ago. > thanks for the info guys.

I usually replace my Rear & Front Main seal whenever I do my swaps just to be on the safe side.

also, there was a balance shaft seal problem on accords, it had a tendency to pop out. but you would notice oil all over under your car. if ur losing that much oil, it should be rather apparent coming from ur lower timing cover.

Yup and you need the retainer to keep it from popping out. Honda had a recall about this too.
