Default My AM GSR Died - Help Needed ASAP

Well, this evening I took the car around the block for an evening spin and a tragedy struck. I, un aware of this, mounted my autometer oil pressure sender unit on the back of my motor using a t-fitting. The fitting gave way and broke of leaving the tip stuck in the block. From what I seen so far, there is not external block damage. The car did not run long or hard when the leak was found. In fact, the car was shut down and towed home. I am not aware of how much oil was lost yet but its atleast a court and a half.

Events leading to this, I had the car dyno tuned yesterday after installing a brand new set of Skunk2 Pro 3+ cams. The car made an astonishing 208.4 whp w/ 140 ft/lb of tq. No leaks on the dyno.

So tell me honda-tech guys, where do I start?
Is the motor a total loss?

Were the T-fitting and adapters brass or aluminum? Did it make any noises at all? We need more useable info.

[BLOCK]--[ADAPTER]--[T-FITTING]--[OIL PRESSURE UNIT]

The adapter broke. I drove the car for about a mile when I noticed something smelt not quite right. No noises or warning lights. I pulled over imediately and noticed an oil spot underneath the car, i shut the car off as soon as i saw the sport. I messed with the units on the back of the block and noticed they were loose feeling. I turned them as if I was going to tighten them and the whole unit fell off with out applying any force at all. The car has not ran since or anything.

The car made 190 whp with Crower Stg. 3 Cams. I switched to S2 Pro 3+ and got the 208.4. After tuning the car, we notice the valve lash was slightly off so we adjusted the valves after the dyno and seen noticable gains once more. We are pretty sure we have netted more hp but just aren't sure. I live in Kansas too so, 1300ft above see level, my car won't through down the numbers like those of you at sea level. Also, I ran out of injector when tuning so I am waiting for new injectors.

how long was the car ran with oil missing..

I'd suggest removing the valvecover and see if the cams, rockers or anything of that nature is damage.. that would be the FIRST thing to show abuse.
The bottem end, has oil reguardless, the top end would show abuse first.. i'm pretty sure if you caught it as fast as you did, you should just change your oil, and crank it over by hand to see if you have anything of force against you, if not, you should be fine.

get a damn sandwich plate, your motor vibrates too much for a t-off.

Agreed.

1) pull the valve cover to see if anything looks torn up

2) fix it right (sandwich plate)

If you stopped it quickly, you should be okay.

Always blame the tuner-the easy scapegoat.
No oil pressure? It was the tuner's fault.
Overheating? The tuner's fault.
Stereo stopped working? You guessed it, it was the tuner's fault.

I dont understand why, for the life of me, people still run those TEE fittings instead of a damn sandwich plate. The sandwich plate's are just as easy to come by and only marginally more expensive.

lol...nice guys. Well, I drained the oil, still had about a quart in a half. Check under the valve cover, everything was fine, no heat abuse. I put new oil in it and everything seems to be fine. No knocks or anything. thank goodness. But thanks for the help guys.

I had Ray at Fusionworks tune my car. He is a great guy to do business with. I have to take the car to the shop next week, doing a little custom work. Hoping to take the car to IFO in KC, Sept. 6th and try my all motor skills.
