Default timing?

soo when i start up the car (96 accord 5 spd) it likes to like....rev itself.

it will do the whole rev to 2.5rpm then drop down after it starts and thats normal.....but then it does it over and over again...AAGGHHH and idk if its a timing issue or what....the autozone guy said the distributors on my car like to fall apart and stuff on the inside...any ideas?

ok, this is a big issue. heres what to do and check. in this order too
check every single vacum line, dont look at them, check them,
pull off your intake(stock or aftermarket) and when its doing this plug one of the two holes you will find in the intake. if it goes away when either of them are pluged then its the idle air control valve or fast idle thermo valve.
i think the bottum hole is the fast idle thermo valve and thats a easy fix.
then let me know if any of those fix it, plus did you happen to replace any intake gasket recently?

oh and a dizzy going out will not cause your idle to do that. your engine is getting more air than normal then over comensates and cuts the idle, then goes back to normal where aire leaks again.

Clean out your IACV and adjust the FITV located underneath the TB. There's a DIY in the FAQ section for Accords.
