the pistons have such a ridge on them they can't be 8.5:1, they have more of a peak than my b16 10.2:1 pistons. I have 9.0:1 in my lsvtec and they have a dish, not a dome. i'm betting they are high cp pistions

 

im betting you sorta know what you are talking about. yes the pistons have a 3.5cc dome. this ls vtec has b16 rods in it, which are the same as ls rods just 3mm shorter. with the vtec head, b16 rods, and the 3.5cc dome pistons the compression is at 8.6:1 while retaining its 1834cc displacement. 1.51 rod stroke ratio.
