hi, i have a evolution h2b set up and in one month i have torn up the splines on 2 clutches, i am thinking that maybe its the input shaft that might be worn down??? i am not an expert to tranny's so if anyone could help me out and let me know if this has happened before??

the clutch and all worked great. I have a bully stage 5 unsprung with a reinforced stage 3 pressure plate, the motor just has basic bolt ons.

 

What tranny are you using?????

I'm guessing a 90-91 small spline cable B and your using a 92-01 large spline disc?

 

its a jdm b16 lsd tranny (hydro) so 92+ tranny and same with clutch it it sor that tranny!

 

use bully stage 4 instead with sprung disk !

 

i did the same thing.. it trashed the main shaft in the tranny.

replace that and you'll be good to go

 

is it a big job to change the main shaft.. keep in mind i would not be doing this myself so i would go to a local transmission shop!!

 

yeah, its the only solution.

i stripped the splines in my ITR tranny (h2b setup as well), the new disk lasted about 2 seconds

 

lol i had one last 3 days and the other 2 weeks!! will get another tranny and keep this for parts or rebuilt it!!!
