Car losing coolant!! Overheated help!
I had never had any overheating problems till yesterday, I drove to my friends house took the highway and was going 60 at 3500rpm 5th gear most of the way. When I got close and was able to stop I could see steam coming out of my hood and I was like WTF! I look and my temp gauge was all the way to the top.
I had to fill my radiator and reservoir up with water in the meantime which I was told was fine.
Started the car and everything was fine. Today I check and the coolant reservoir is almost completely empty.
Do I have a leak somewhere? I never see any leaks under where I park my car so im preety suprised at this.
Any ideas.

Fill the radiator and reservoir with coolant, and let the engine idle for a while. During this time, watch for coolant leaks from hoses, the radiator, and the weep hole at the bottom of the lower timing belt cover (water pump), or simply boiling over of the reservoir. Also look for white smoke from the exhaust pipe. Note whether the fan turns on when the engine is hot and whether the lower radiator hose remains much cooler than the upper one. Never let the dash engine temp gauge read even 3/4 HOT.
