My friend suggsted that i go buy a head gasket for 40 bucks for my D16Y8 and remove the center ply. this will supposedly raise the compression about a half a point. is this true??? will that little tenth of a millemeter make that much difference in my C/R??? he also assured me that there will be plenty of valve clearence. has anyone done this before. besides using premium what other precations are necessary.??? thanks

c-speed racing has a comp calc for b series. i think it'll do it for 2 layer. usually every .3 comp rating raised = 1hp. you need to know the thickness of the layer.
