Manley "H" beam rods or Eagle "H" beam rods?

the reason i ask is there about the same price. i hear that eagle rods need to be rehoned when you get them cause there out of round.

I have never had to rehone my eagles. Ive had a few different sets but from what i hear the manleys have a better quailty finish. If I didnt get my eagles so cheap then I would have probally bought manelys

 

why would eagle sell new rods that are out of round , if they did no one would buy them

 

i have talked to a few people that had to take them to a shop to get rehoned. thats all.

 

ill vouch for that one, i worked at a machine shop and seen it first hand on every set.

 

Pistons? who said anything about pistons? Bueller?


Eagle cranks often requre machine work to get them into proper spec as well.

I run eagle rods, Brand spanking new.. no problems.. infact, my motor is still on my stand..
unless your adjusting them for clearences, they should pretty round.. you shouldn't have to rehone anything.. like this..

 

i heard manley pistons were better than eagle. but i heard nothing bad about eagles. i'd say go eagles

 

brand new eagle rods out of round??? first time i heard of this ...maybe they were knock offs.
