It won't, the main testing bench for the Type R if there was one was the Mugen Civic, which didn't sell well so I doubt Honda will bring over a Type R version.

I'd be willing to bet your boyfriend got fed this information by somebody who doesn't have any idea what they're talking about.

No, it's not coming. Never has been, never will be IMO.

overpriced civic with the same hp as the reg Si, why would it sell good, honda made a bad move on pricing when it wasn't really worth it for just getting a different look.

The EDM CTR is not the same as the JDM CTR.

Whoever said that people who work at dealerships know what they're talking about?

Maybe he's talking about the Japanese CTR.

why do people ask this question at least twice a week? If it was coming to America this forum would be flooded with info. plus Honda would have a lot of hype leading up to the release. If they did it would be no sooner then 2011-2012 because that's when the 9th gen will be released. Even then its HIGHLY doubtful because theft rate would go through the roof ex. integra type r

I'm not so sure about that.

Honda never really advertised the Si, at least in the same manner that the Accord and Odyssey are advertised.

The only Si advertisements on television that I see are for local Honda dealerships, whereas there are plenty of nationalized Accord and Odyssey commercials.

The same would go for the CTR.

I would agree with that but only because the Accords and Odysseys appeal to larger market compared to those who would be interested in the Si let alone a CTR. A CTR/Si does not have the fuel economy that most people think of when discussing Honda. When ever I see a Civic commercial on, it's always about the fuel economy of the hybrid or lx/ex. The only time I ever saw an advertisement about an Si was the end of model year clearance where dealerships were trying to turn over their 08 Si's.

they sold every mugen civic made they were just a limited amount made and they moved them quick. people were putting down payments on the car 4-6 months b4 delivery.

the pricing was crazy imop but it was ment for the person who would buy all the mugen **** for their car
