Rotors and Pads Problem

So i just changed the rotors on my car and got new pads...once i had the rotor back on and the bridge bolted on...i slid the pads into place (all the needed lube applied)...then i slid my caliper over the pads and bolted that on (of course i compressed the piston back into place)
after i had everything together i spun the rotor to see how it spun and it spun fine...then i had my girlfriend get into my car and i spun the rotor and told her to press the brakes...i wanted to make sure that they worked...anyways the rotor stopped...and then i told her to let off of the brake, she told me she did....
the rotor wouldnt spin freely anymore and it was actually pretty tough to turn...i got into my car, started it up, put it in gear, and tried to give it some gas to see if the rotor would spin and it just wont spin
can anyone help? please!
im dying to get this car back on the road

i would check the slid pins on the caliper, i had a problem on my em1 just like that, all i did was take the slip pins out, sanded them a lil and lubed them up, works fine now!
sounds like you've got yourself either a bad hose or a bad caliper.
it sounds more like a hose, as if it is collapsed and will not allow the fluid to return at all and keeping the caliper engaged.

i think my problem might be the caliper...the rubber seal around the piston is ripped...just noticed that when i kept pressing the brakes to expose most...if not all...of the piston
I'm with forcefedferio, sounds like a hose to me.
IF your caliper pins slide freely then (with the caliper installed)
Make sure your brake hose isn't twisted, pump the brake to get the caliper bound up. Crack the bleeder screw a half turn or so. If the caliper releases then the problem is a hose or further back the hydraulic system. If the caliper doesn't release when you crack the bleeder screw then go get yourself another caliper.
