Default OEM shock replacements

I am currently looking for oem replacement shocks for a bone stock 2000 Accord. The shocks will be matched with oem springs and my cousin has no intention of lowering his car. I just need something to replace the blown shocks currently on his car. I don't need performance shocks, but I just want it to work as if it just rolled off of the factory line.

I have been shopping around and KYB GR2's look like a great buy, but is there anything cheaper? The KYB GR2's are about $230. I thought about buying used OEM shocks, but with the 98-02 accords being ~7-12 years old, I didn't think it would be easy to find low mileage shocks.

tokico blues cost more than the GR2's. They were roughly 300 for a set.

how many miles can i expect out of OEM struts off of a 98-02 accord? i am thinking of possibly picking up the oem ones because they would be a cheaper alternative.

the koni str.t is the same $300 bracket as the blues but MUCH better. GR2s are even less. personally i would buy the koni oranges but i can understand cost being a concern. a good used set of oem shocks normally goes for $40-50.

I'm looking at buying these used struts. According to the seller, the boot is slightly torn, but it's not leaking any oil. Are there any issues regarding buying these?

I would say get the KYB GR2, its decent for daily driving. ( plus price is a good deal)

New> used struts anyday.

I say that because used strut you don't know when they are gonna blow out, mind as well buy new ones so they can last longer.
