That is one serious cage.

With door bars like that, you might as well weld the doors shut and get in the car like Bo & Luke Duke. Yeeehaw.

p.s. what the heck do you intend to do with that useless fire extinguisher? those things can't even put out a cigarette.

Yes, but that one seems a little inadequate to BPR.

Yeah it's just too small to be effective - based on first-hand experience. but if you just have to have one for "the rules" I guess smaller/lightest is best.

How about a (proper) seat and harness for the "passenger"!
Hey if you want a ride, deal with it.

I think you should route the passenger side seatbelt over the cross bar instead of under it.

ECHC?

Okay everybody.......

First of all this is a "budget" car built for SCCA ITA - not ECHC since I'm up in the MW

I plan on mounting the extinguisher behind the shifter where the E-brake handle used to be. I was in a hurry to get the car ready a few weeks back and mounting it on the cage was the easiest thing to do.

I left the passenger seat and both DOT belts in since I drive the car on the street, and becuase I wanted to "make weight" during tech. I would love to have a second seat and harness but I don't I was experimenting with the DOT belt routing. I did one over the bar and one under... over is better!

Engine combo..... the bone stock EW-4 that Honda put in it. SCCA doesn't like motor swaps. I would love to put a B16 in it, but I wouldn't have anywhere to race up here.

So far I have about $3000 wrapped up into this car (that includes the price of the car at $900). I pretty happy with it so far. It's in the garage for the winter and it'll come out in April a little bit better than it is now.
