I ran across a ZC with a ZC tranny and it comes complete(intake mani., header, TB, dizzy, etc...) for $650. Does this soundlike a good deal? It was just imported so i know that it hant been in some ricers car being ragged out everyday(i dont know if it was raced in japan). So...does this sound like a good deal? Does anyone know where i can get a better deal? I need an engine bad...HELP!!!!!!!! Thans.

Yea...its supposed to come with the tranny. What axles do i need for the ZC tranny? I think its the 88-89 teg but im not sure. And if i bought the teg ecu could i use its harness and bolt it straight up to the ZC insted of having to do the MPFI swap? Thanks alot guys.

this is the going rate, i wouldnt say it was a spectacular deal, ZC engine = 500, ZC tranny = 150, thats pretty much the price anywhere, they sell them for that much at hondamotorsonline, so if you are iffy about the place/person thats selling it, you can always find another place, but go for it!
and what car is it going into (trim wise: si, dx etc) ?

Hey, i have done that swap. listen all u need is the zc motor and tranny if it going in 90 dx then u need to change the wiring your axles u have now will work fine and so will the tranny if u want the long gears, but as for the wiring u need to look on the net for Dx to ZC wiring it is all over. it is a easy swap , u need a ecu to i si or zc or 1 gen integra ecu they all work, i ran a spoon chip in a 90 si ecu with mine.
For the swap , it just bolts right up and your read to go. and 650 for motor and tranny is great price it that is not reused in the usa. let me know what else u need

Sweet....how much are the DX to ZC harnesses and where can i get one? Im planning on doing it really soon so i need to know soon if possible. Will my stock d15 axles really work with the JDM ZC tranny? I heard it had to be teg axles? What are some advantages and disadvantages of the ZC tranny? Thanks alot.

Sorry mna. B16 isnt on the agenda and never will be. I dont want one because i beat 2 b16 EG civics in my friends ef with a ZC(and dont tell me it was a weight thing because its only ike a 100lb difference stock and my friend car has a system). So can i use my stock axles with a JDM ZC engine? And does anyone know where i can get a good ZC for cheap? Thanks.
PS. Please no more"get a b16...save for a b16" or any of that...i appreciate it.

first off no u cant use stock us axles in a real zc tranny and second a b16 has way more potential than a zc a zc was put in a lower model ef in japan for a reason its not as good teh b16 has a perfect rod stroke ratio can rev higher on stock internals than a zc and makes more power than a zc...i raced a friend with a zc with my d15 and beat him by .6 seconds at the track maybe ur friends withe the EGs cant drive???? a b16 is by far is better than a zc and tehre are more parts avalible for it

DUDE...F@CK OFF. I dont want a B16....if i wanted one id be asking about a b16 instead of a ZC. Now for those of you that actually answered my question...THANKS FOR STAYING ON TOPIC!!! Im really tired of people telling everybody to get b16's...if they want it then theyll ask about it dont you think? So what axles should i get f or the JDM ZC tranny? And how much are those wiring harnesses and i heard that someone on here can make them for cheaper than HASport...who does it? Thanks.

u need a zc intermediate shaft and 90-93 teg axles this is debatable....remove dust seal **** and thats it if u have any wiring abilities use em to wire it in its cake do a search and ull find out how to wire it

Exactly. They used the B16 in the SiR for a reason.... much better than the ZC. Hell I usually beat similarly modded ZC's with my Sohc Vtec.
Thats the same experiance i have had. ZC's suck. It's just a waste of money. But to each his own. If you want to waste ur money thats your business.
To answer your question:
Stock us axles will not work in a JDM ZC tranny. You can get a US Si tranny that is just about the same as the ZC one, and run your stock dx axles.

ZC's are really dropping in price, I'm now starting to see 1st generation B16 swaps going as cheap as ZC swaps from last year... our 4th gens are losing their popularity I guess?
