just swapped in a d15b and its not starting.its cranks n all.
but what i see is water leaking from the intake manifold im guessing a bad gasket.
but would this keep my car from starting?i had IM problems before but never water comming out and the car would start.

If the head gasket is leaking like a sieve, then the cylinders will fill with coolant and also lack compression. This definitely could lead to a no-start problem.

Drain the water from the radiator and motor, if it starts you know you have a problem with the head gasket and/or a warped head. This has happened to me before and it would start and then when I added water in the radiator it would stop running. You could always jsu take the head off and look into the cylinders as well but ... more work.
