"new here need help with flashing oil light"
Verify that the oil pressure sensor wire is conneced to the sensor on the back of the block and that you actually have oil in the engine. You will get a flashing oil light if the dash does not get a signal from that wire. If that wire is good then check that the sensor is working correctly. If it is then you've got expensive oil pump issues and should NOT drive your car until properly tended to. Low oil pressure and driving will destroy your engine.
Does or engine make any noise? Does it idle smooth? What's your oil look like on the dipstick?

thanks for the responses...will check for signal and the sensor tomorrow...this is a used JDM motor that just got installed...motor sounds good (no knocking or vibration) idle is good except it doesn't rev pass 3k. oil is a bit dark, all that will be change. will keep you guys posted. thanks again....
