Default ep3 buddy club short shifter

i have a Buddy Club short shifter an ever since i installed it about a year ago certain gears get harder an harder to punch in. like wen im gunning it from 1st to 2nd very often it wont go in, it just grinds really bad an i have to try again. an ever since i got the car (before the BC short shifter)when i throw it in to 3rd very often there's a grind sound. It sounds like a knock off super sequential bov but its my trans that's making the noise. help me out dudes i heard it's my drive line or drive wire i forgot but some kid told me that. a lil while back i tried honoring my "full Warranty" b/c it was getting really bad (still is) but they said i'd have to approve 12 hrs of labor = to $1,100 just to see what exactly is wrong (not including cost to fix) with it and they said they were going to have an expert come in an look at it to make sure it was normal wear an tear and not from me abusing my car. I am known to run the **** outta my car every now an then so i knew i was walking right into a $1100 trap... right?

Any chance your shift cables got bent when you put the BCSS in?

It's prolly from you beating on your car. Also, a common thing with people that have short shifters is that they tend to shift "too fast" and because the timing is off between you pressing the clutch in and shifting gears, you most likely will go in too quickly and it creates a small grind everytime you do so. So, overtime this will get worse and worse. Another possibilty is that you might need a new throw out bearing, but it's hard to tell with out actually hearing it, GL.

Well you hardly touch the shift cables wen u install the short shifter it takes an easy 15 mins. I swear the ep3 is the simplest car to jack a radio. Ne ways so it can be ne number of problems that are just gonna get worse rite. How can I fix this for sure? I heard I should flush my tranny an put in new fluid. Does anyone else offer a short shifter for the ep?

Why not just get some real mods that will actually gain power, or performance? Or if you have your heart set on keeping your short shifter, why not get an upgraded clutch master cylinder so that your shift timing will match up again with shorter pedal travel.

I've seen Omni Power MC's for $179 or so but I don't know if they make a version for the EP3 or what others will fit. Google it and see what you can find dude. Also, I was assuming you already had an upgraded clutch. If not, that would also be on the top of the list I think.

Clutchmasters makes a aftermarket clutch for the EP, i have a stage 3 in my car right now. Give THmotorsports a call and ask for Eddie. MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM YOU HAVE A K20A3 FOR AN EP3 or they will send you a clutch for an rsx thats slightly different (personal experience)

Well I'm not gonna sell mine, but I paid $160 for it about a year ago, the go for $140 on ebay brand new. Just do that. Or get that nuespeed one. I thinks its like 70 bucks but just an adapter. But that's how the old school ones are.

I had that same grind on the 2-3 shift even after I put in a new clutch assembly. Unfortunately it meant that my transmission was going out.
