High idle problems b16
when the engine is cold it idles at 1500, then regular running temp is either 2000 or 2600, but it seems to be worse when it is a warmer day.. so i did some research and ended up cleaning both the FITV and the IACV, and that didn't do anything.. then the other night i was reading through things and saw something that mentioned jumping the ecu after cleaning the FITV and the IACV. does anyone know anything about this? or what my idle problem could be?
Have you checked or tried adjusting the throttle cable? Make sure it's not getting hung up?
Have you tried adjusting the idle screw on the TB and then pulling the 7.5 amp back up fuse to reset the idle? (located under the hood)

Pull off the intake and let the warm engine idle. Use your finger to block the port/hole leading to either the FITV or IACV in the throttle body. Does covering one of these ports drop the idle speed? By the way, when the engine is warm, the FITV port should not be pulling any air into it.
i tested the holes like you had said too and the FITV(which is the lower one i'm guessing?) was pulling air but didn't effect the idle.. and the IACV bogged out badly from like 1500 to like 100.... so what does this mean? and why is the FITV pulling air when its not suppose too?

With that said, your test also suggests that the IACV is a major contributor to the high idle. The question is whether the IACV itself is faulty or whether another sensor, such as a faulty ECT sensor, is the root cause. Have you bled the cooling system?
is an FITV available to buy from honda? or what would i look for to know if a used one was working correctly? and yes i have recently had my coolant system flushed and i installed a spoon fan switch.. which is the ECT correct?
it happen to me too
but goes away after 5 mins or when the engine get hot

I think this site tells you how to adjust the FITV.
Was a proper bleed of the cooling system done after the flush? If not, do one now. If that doesn't help, electrical troubleshoot the 2-wire ECT sensor under the distributor. This involves resistance measurements of the sensor itself.

I had a similar problem. My idle would be erratic mostly while driving. I pulled the 2 pin connector to the iacv like I was setting idle speed and my idle was so much better. That will help determine if it's the fitv or iacv.
I am having a similiar problem, my car idles low when AC is on around 800 and car starts to shake like its gonna die sometimes. I have erratic idle aswell sometimes I will be like in second gear at 3,000 RPM and put the clutch in and go to neautral and it stays at the high rev for a couple of seconds. What could this be?
