i got a buddy who got his side airbag deployed. he asked me how to reset it. i refered him to the clubrsx how to reset it. the question is he live in austin and they do the emission testing here kinda. they plug a OB2 plug under your dash and see if there is any CEL. if the airbag deployed will there be a CEL for it? if they do their scan will the machine pick up that the airbag been deployed? thanks

 

put a new airbag in, and take it to the dealer and have them do it.

 

I was going to say push that little rectangle button in your cluster but I just remembered that was to reset the oil change color.

SRS does nothing with CEL

You will have a light on the dash but thats not for CEL. If you want go to autozone have them scan your car and see if it comes up. I know it won't though.

 

when i say for emissions they do the code reading check here in austin. when they do a read if it comes back with a CEL you automatically fail. some shops kinda be real big douches and do a emission testing

 

no, the check engine and srs lights are from 2 entirely different systems. the srs light won't affect an emissions scan.

with that said, fixing the srs system would be a great idea .
