ive been having oil pressure problems so i replaced the oil pump while i was in there i replaced the water pump and all the belts put it all back together TDC now the car wont start reset the ECU still no start. checked for codes none. checked fuses. when i put the key into the ignition the check engine light dosnt come on for 2 secs like its supposed to. there is no spark goin to the spark plugs and its a new distributor check all the connecters resseated them cheked the power goin in and out there is no power goin to the spark plugs. Any ideas? Much appreciated.

its also a 5 speed 2 door not sure if it makes that much of a difference

 

Go back over everything that you took apart and make sure it's back together properly. Check and see that you didn't miss connecting a ground wire or maybe disconnected one by mistake. Check all of your ground & power connections to your battery as well.

 

ive done it like 3 times since i put it together =( the car has been sitting for about 2 weeks now

 

I know you might've check this but on the CDs, there's a ground wire that is bolted onto the IM. If you don't hook that back on, there will be no sparks.

 

what do you mean by CD and IM

 

Like as CD5, CD6, & CD7 Accords. ie EGs, EKs, etc. IM=Intake Manifold.

 

The OP has a 1990 Accord so that would make it a CB7 Same problem with ground wires though.

j!nx - Sounds like your not getting power to your main relay and or ECU. It could be a bad relay or a ground issue. Do you have a Helms/Haines/Chiltons manual for your car?

 

yea i have haines and chiltons and the honda shop manual

 

well i switched out the ecu with another workin one and still nothing and im not sure how to check the relays. the main ecu relay is brand new i had the not starting issue with that.
