Default 94 sedan .. troubles

Hey guys just picked up a 4dr today ... looked good drove decent then later on in the after noon it started acting weird.. like it was missing or not getting fuel and it was sputtering.. its a d15 non vtec I have no idea whats going on if anyone could help me trouble shoot so I can get it fixed that would be great.

Summary
Only sometimes under load it sounds like its missing or leaning out ..
I can still push the clutch in a rev it to 7k so its only happening under load
it does it in all gears but intermittently I drove almost all day with out a problem them randomly it started happening.

thanks in advance to any help anyone can give ..

Is the CEL on?

Have you checked the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and ignition timing?

used 3 different idle air control valves ... they all did the same thing unless they are unhooked then the car idles fine... not sure where to go from there..

tested the fuel and have narrowed the loss in power and weird behavior down to an igniton problem im going to get another dizzy and see what that does and go from there unless someone has any other suggestions.

Sounds like it could be a bad O2 sensor. Does it misfire at WOT? If it does, then scratch my idea.

Sadly, it sounds like a bad EGR ...too bad there isn't one

If you can get your hands on another distributor, give it a shot. You have to have an OBDI unit, but I'm not sure about VTEC or Non VTEC. The mounting holes may be different.

What three codes did you have?

Oh yeah, O2 sensor. Try disconnecting it and see how it runs. You will get a CEL but it should run totally smooth. You don't have to have a CEL with a bad O2 sensor. I've had it happen along with a few friends.

Let us know.

Try the O2 sensor and see if that will work. Youhave to get a non vtec because the mounting holes are different for V-tec.

I'm assuming you are referring to the distributor?
