I dont know man, I was crankin' on it pretty good.. I was even squishing the corners of the square piece together trying to fit it through the hole but it wouldnt budge.. and im pretty sure it doesnt come apart into two pieces correct?

here is a link to what mine looks like at the moment, you can see where it is broken .. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/need-help-identifying-part-2612858/

thats not really the pcv that looks like where the pcv slides into. if its already broken than dont worry about messing it up. do u already have a replacement peice?

yea you are right, it is the housing.. I was just going off what I was told in the other thread linked above.. I am replacing it with the valve and housing off my OBD0 B16 intake manifold.. I just wanted to 'practice' on this one so when it comes time to remove my good one I will have some sort of technique down and hopefully not damage it

and yea its like a very sturdy rubber.. it doesnt like to flex.. hence why it wouldnt come out when I was going at it with pliers..

its gonna slide out from the top. maybe get some needle nose pliers and squeeze it on the bottom part that is rounded and push in/up on it. maybe some soap or wd40 will help it out. if you cant get it out that way u could always cut the lip on the underside of it that holds it in place. im sure it will stay in place without it.
