I did a valve adjustment on my B18B and put it at like 0.003" intake and 0.004" exhaust and it makes a slight ticking sound now. Does this mean there too tight or loose? I originally did it at 0.003 In and 0.006 Ex, and that seemed louder, even though thats the spec from helms.

recheck the tolorences, maybe they have came out, are you using a feeler gauge?
