If this is true, how would they make a plexiglass or see through plastic that wouldn't melt with engine bay temperatures and still be transparent.

They used to make transparent hoods back in the rice days. I've seen Civics with yellow, green, etc clear hoods, but never anything like that on a Prelude.

yup those were big in the rice days. & I remember seeing a ad saying it was FOR SHOW ONLY. So I dont think you should drive with it cause it might melt the hood or something

I should get one and see how long it will last with my ramhorn turbo manifold...........as is the metal one gets so hot you dont want to put your hand on it lol

Ill be waiting for the day that hood flies open haha.
I wouldnt mind seeing one at a meet. Itll be pretty cool to see a nicely tucked and swapped bay under a clear hood. Some people have sticky fngers lol.
