So I have a problem with the tranny in my B16 hatchback. When I'm at redline and shifting into 3rd sometimes it feels like it sticks in 2nd even when I press in the clutch pedal. The revs stay high and don't drop like normal when the clutch pedal is pushed to the floor. It kind of seems like maybe the clutch is not disengaging or something, but it's only on the 2nd to 3rd shift. Also it has a sprung 6-puck with 50,000 miles, and the tranny has 110,000 on it.

Any ideas on how serious of a problem I've got here???

 

Have you do the generals check? such as cable, fluids, etc to see if anythings loose?

 

Yeah it's got a hydraulic clutch and I have a stainless line I've got to put on and re-bleed, it might improve the problem, but I don't know if it's an internal tranny issue though.

Oh like maybe the pressure plate is coming loose from the flywheel?
