can i swap a b18b in to a civic ex and keep it auto?

i dont see why not.....the same way you would do a 5 speed swap...just find an auto ecu and auto tranny and probly tranny mount

i don't think the 99-00 civic si came in auto nor do i think the del-sol with teh b16 came in auto also..but same as "will?" said up there just find a auto ecu and auto tranny and you should be fine

The short answer is no. The longer answer is yes with a lot of time, money and someone who dares to attempt it. Its much easier to swap the chassis to manual and swap in a 5 speed B-series swap.

Don't worry, I'm getting ready to do a writeup on this. YES, it can be done, and NO it's not nearly as hard as just about everyone on here says. I'll be doing a writeup with full pictures. A friend of mine recently told me that you can use nearly all OEM Honda mounts to do this conversion to a 96-00. I'm going to verify what he said then post up the complete process so all of the naysayers will finally see it's not bad at all. Yes, wiring will be covered. YES, I intend on staying OBD2. However, I plan on using a JDM ECU so it would not be emissions legal. If you just want a straight LS swap, you will be able to use the write up to put a full US LS auto swap in the car with the US ECU.
