Default Searched: vtec crossover 01 ex

couldn't find anything on it, wondering if its like the older d16's that it was around 5k rpm, if not what is it and if its lower is it better to up it in the rpm range?
don't know much about these d17's

also anyone know what the valve lash shoule be set to?
i currently have it at .007 on intake and .009 on exhaust.

thanks,Oney

From the FAQ's (hint)

Q: When does VTEC engage on the D17A2 (EX and Canadian Si models)?

- A: 2700 RPM

This isn't in the FAQ's though..
Valve Clearance Adjustment

Intake: 0.18-0.22 mm (0.007-0.009 in.)

Exhaust
: 0.23-0.27 mm (0.009-0.011 in.)

So you're fine.

Yes; but don't expect a huge difference.

It's set that low for fuel consumption. The engine was never designed with performance as it's main goal.
