From the FAQ's (hint)
This isn't in the FAQ's though..
Valve Clearance Adjustment
Intake: 0.18-0.22 mm (0.007-0.009 in.)
Exhaust: 0.23-0.27 mm (0.009-0.011 in.)
So you're fine.
Q: When does VTEC engage on the D17A2 (EX and Canadian Si models)?
- A: 2700 RPM

Thanks on the clearance issue..
Now to the vtec, why is it set so low? i know these cars arent power monsters.. i was reading another thread of a Na build that he had it set to 5200rpm with upgraded cam and i/h/e, if i upgrade my cam and do i/h/e and run kpro..would i see any differences

Yes; but don't expect a huge difference.
