v-tec problems?
Ok so every once and awhile when i crack v-tec the check engine light comes on and when i come to a stop the idle is ruff for about ten seconds then goes away and if i turn the car off and turn it back on the check engine light is off and the car runs fine. I got the code checked and it was the v-tec solinoid "spelling?" i was told it could be an oil problem and might need a new oil pump but i wanted some more advise before i went and did that. and body know anthing of what im talki9ng about...
How about checking the wires or getting another VTEC solenoid from the wrecker to see if it will fix the problem. Gee, replacing the oil pump if it's not broken is useless and expensive.
i cleaned the v-tec solenoid but it still does it and i havnt tested the wires yet, so i will do that as well and mabey replace the v-tec solenoid. how much does a oil pump run for a d series motor?
check the wiring its like 5-10 mins to go over the wiring not even....
