i have my old 98 OBD2A SOHC VTEC distributor and i was wondering if i could swap the coil for my 99 OBD2A GSR one because i am having problems with my car's idle.

nevermind, i opened them up and looked at both of them, they are identical thanks.

 

OBD1 coils and ignitors will also fit.

Theres the correct answer. All OBD1 and OBD2 D and B-series coils and igniters are interchangeable (sometimes you have to modify igniter brackets though when swapping an OKI igniter into a distributor that originally had a Hitachi igniter or vice versa though) CYP/CKP/TDC sensors are also interchangeable in the same way.

um its okay we got an answer haha..and i am using my SOHC coil in my GSR right now, sooooo yeah u can.

 

so you can use the single cam distributor coil for the gsr. cool. thats what i'm doing tomorrow
