I have been on the site trying to figure out what is wrong with my car.

I have the crank timing mark (white tick) lined up with the little mark on the timing cover, and the cam timing mark with the UP at the top, the 2 ticks on the gear sitting level with the top of the head and the one lower one almost lined up with the point under the cam gear.

With the distributer sitting in the factory location it will not start. Somtimes will get the odd fire but thats it.

I pulled the spark plug, and when i have both the crank, cam marks lined up I am at TDC on the far passenger side piston ( the number 4 i think) while my rotor in the distributer is inbetween sparking the # 3 and # 1 wires.

Where did I go wrong or how did this happen.
