I have drilled brembo rotors with hawk performance pads, but just wondering which is better brembo slotted or drilled, because they don't make a slotted and drilled rotor for the gsr, and why don't they?

It depends on what your goal is. If you want to improve your brakes, buy blanks or slotted.

If you want to rice your brakes, buy the drilled or the drilled/slotted.

A rotor is a heatsink. The more mass it has, the better it is at dissipating heat. A drilled stock-size rotor has less mass than a blank rotor.

For most people, it doesn't really matter though, since they don't actually reach the limit of their brakes anyway. 1/2 the car guys I know could run the disc brakes off a mountain bike and not notice the difference.

 

Those are really just Brembo blanks that they are drilled and slotting themselves (or by a 3rd party). The authentic Brembo "Sport" rotors are only available in Drilled OR Slotted. I personally think drilled and slotted rotors look ugly...way too much going on there and its not needed.

 

i hear slotted rotors eat up pads real quick. that if your and every day driver with lil to no track time that drilled or slotted are a wast of money...........
