DC Racing Header is a good investment.

And FYI, On a four-cylinder vehicle it is a "header", not "headers"

How much do you want to pay?

Bubby Club is good - $775 - No Cat
CT Engineering - $505 - Uses Stock Cat
Invidia - $605 - No Cat
Megan - $149 - Uses Stock Cat
Skunk 2 - $800 - No Cat
Strup - $350 - No Cat
Vibrant - $582 - No Cat
Vibrant - $669 - Uses Hi-Flow Cat
DC - ???? - No Cat
SSR - $1,300 - No Cat

I have a custom built race header from SSR (longer tubes then the headers above), so I can't speak directly on the others but I heard most people who got Skunk, Buddy Club, and Vibrant have been pretty happy.

Hytech is supposedly amazing too...another custom made header.

Running the Vibrant header without a cat along with the HKS Sport Ti cat back system. Great performance and not to loud!

well if you absolutely wanna stay legal... get the DC... decent gains, nothing like BC, s2, hytech, ssr but not like rediculously off unless you flashpro.

if you got smog hook ups... skys the limit. s2 is really good for the price. very good gains across the board

I have the catless Vibrant with the HKS Ti Sport cat back and have had no problems with the CHP yet. Noise is not an issue and the cat back doesn't attract to much attention.
I have had problems with the CEL light and no O2 bungs have helped. I've tried the small one as well as the angled strup. When I get the Flash Pro this problem with no longer exist.

In 4 years when I have to re-smog, I'll simply put the stock exhaust system on, re flash to stock, pass and then put all the good stuff back on. The price for living in Calif!

No aftermarket header is really street legal until OBD-II cert. The DC has no cat, that's an autofail in truly street legal in all states. Most inspectors really don't care and look right over it, unless it's Cali and they only allow stock or CARB cert. cats.

the dc isnt legal.
but i had that header and its a good bang for your buck.
just like with any header, you have to let it break in before you
really feel the difference.
but now im on the s2rh and its absolutely amazing

Try Bisimoto Engineering headers. They fabricate custom headers.
