Default 97 civic aftermarket stereo

I have a 97 civic when installing an aftermarket cd player it will not work. I tried putting the stock radio back in and it will not work either. What could be wrong?

+1. One fuse is in the car, the other is under the hood for the stereo. Double check your wiring and make sure that all wires are properly insulated and not touching metal.

Check the "backup" fuse under the hood.

you probably shorted something out during the process of switching stereos. Next time before u work on ur car disconnect the battery. check your fuses
