Default infamous sticky pedal

every honda i have had, has a sticky pedal when i bought it. but i beat the dog crap out of it and jump on the pedal and it goes away.

but this one is a tuff one. you know when your at a red light and you let off the clutch and push on the gas...and the gas pedal doesnt go its stuck?
and then you stall..uuggh. very annoying. i have to tap the gas to get it up then release the clutch

what have any of you done to fix that problem

I have only had this problem on my current civic. The only reason I had a problem was because my oil pressure line had gotten stuck in the mix. There's not too much with the pedal. Pedal-Cable-TB. Try oiling all the connections/springs in the mix. I oiled mine when I figured out the oil line was snagging. smooth as butter.
If this doesn't work try a new throttle cable, or see if the TB is snagging. Good luck.

clean the throttle body and see if that helps.

if it doesnt help, replace the throttle cable.

its easy to do, and a new one from majestic honda www.hondaautomotiveparts.com is really cheap.

I had this problem when I first got my EG hatch w/180K miles on it. I cleaned the throttle body and cable connects and 100K miles later, it still works like a champ.
