Default High build primer

Whats up Im almost done with my body work and I had a question. I want to use a high build primer to fill some really tiny imperfections/pitts since my body isnt 100 percent smooth. Im going with dupont nason top coat and I was wondering If dupli color high build primer is okay to spray underneath. Its $45 for a gallon plus $15 reducer. Its a bit cheaper than other brands. mainly I want to know if I can use this without any problems? Thanks in advance.

that's fine and all but its not going to hide those tiny pin holes you need to get a product called nitro- stan putty 9001 its for those little pin holes and scratch marks if any apply with a spreader like you do bondo and let dry 15-20 min and dry sand with 320-400 sand paper and your good to go as far as using that primer its cheap so apply two coats cover the car well after it drys hit it with 600 grit wet sanding lightly then your ready for paint good luck bro.

You don't need a glaze or putty to fill in tiny pin hole, just simply spray that spot for 2-3 sec. Yea its going to run, but its just primer and you're going to have to sand it anyways

Thanks guys I already used glazing putty on spots that needed it. I just like that the high build goes on thick and Its sandable, because even after you use glazing putty and sand its not 100% smooth

It's a general rule to not mix paint manufacturers, so using a Duplicolor primer might effect your final outcome. If you're using a Nason top coat, then ask your paint guy what high build primer is compatible with that line. I think I payed 85ish for my PPG Shopline highbuild primer (gallon) with the needed reducer and hardener, so it's not going to break the bank.

Yeah you right Im going today to get a price on it. Im already dropping enough money I don't really wanna cut any corners and have my finish not look good.
