Quietest Catback Exhaust?
Apexi WS. Nothing else is as quiet.

OEM ITR...my friend's civic runs 12's on street tires with this cat back.
Mine's quiet, sounds good, and performs as well as any performance exhaust should for my setup. The ricer morons will go on all day long saying that it's crap because it's not some aftermarket brand, but they're simply full of ****. Loudness doesn't indicate power. Let's face it, Honda knows what the fvck they're doing. The dyno doesn't lie, but the butt/ear dyno does.
you can still find used RSR's around.. ..
note: RSR used to have a brand called INVIDIA, but someone else bought that name and makes exhausts... INVIDIA has no connection to RSR .. and RSR=/= skunk2.

Based upon a mutual agreement between RSR-Japan and Racing Beat Inc., as of March 1, 2000, Racing Beat Inc. ceased being the exclusive stocking United States Distributor for the RSR product line. This agreement was reached after careful consideration to product costs and currency rate volatility. RSR-Japan has not announced any future plans for US distribution. We are not aware of any US source for the RSR product line at this time.
Racing Beat would like to thank all RSR customers and dealers for their support of the RSR product line. While Racing Beat Inc. will continue to focus our three decades worth of engineering effort on our core business, Mazda performance products. If you have questions regarding warranty or sound level measurements, please contact Racing Beat.
Note: We have received many calls regarding the availability of INVIDIA exhaust products. INVIDIA was at one time a brand name that was being offered by RSR-Japan.
As we understand, the INVIDIA brand name was later transferred to another independent company with no ties to RSR-Japan. This company produced selected exhaust systems and distributed them in the US for a short period of time. It is our understanding that the INVIDIA systems are not being distributed in the US at this time.

Apexi ws is the quietest exhaust. you don't even need a silencer. This cat-back doesn't get noticable until you hit 7000 rpm. plus it looks stock I have this on my car.
I
my Comptech. I have Icebox, 4-2-1 Headers, and Catback Exhaust all from Comptech. And a SMSP/Carsound cat. Sounds quiet to me; not ricey-fied at all.

Rather than listen to everyone chime on w/ the exhaust that they purchased as being quiet yet powerful........
You want to shop for muffler design, not brand name. The Apexi WS utilizes a chambered design, as does the oem itr. The difference between the two? Apexi uses 2 3/8" mandrel bent piping, and the oem itr system uses crush bent 2.25" piping that has a bad bottle neck in the axle back portion as well.
Chambered mufflers will give you decent gains w/ good sound muffling qualities. Straight thru designs give you more flow, which translates to more power at the expense of being louder.
Compech is a great kit, but they use a straight thru design muffer. Its not that bad if you get the silencer to w/ it........but its a far cry from the stock muffler note. I posted a link of what the comptech sounds like here a few days ago.

I should update you on my Comptech exhaust output - I think it is good and quiet (relatively)... but my parents just got home today (they went away for the night/day) and my dad said that he could hear me "a mile away" (he was against modding at all) and my mom (who rode with me to go pick up her car) said "sorry, honey, but your quiet exhaust is loud..."
But the guys at the tuning shop that installed my pile 'o expensive car junk couldn't stop commenting on the quality of my component choices - adjustable Koni Yellows, Eibach Pro-Kit springs when it turns out I didn't need them, all-stainless all-Comptech exhaust setup, and so on.
BTW: I got my Comptech header, exhaust, Pro-kit, and Koni Yellows from Mike at Diabloautosports.com. Big 5 x
