Default to all sohc vtec converters a few questions

did you guys change to 5th gen intake mani?reason i ask is because some of them have the map sensor attached to the throttle body.i was wondering if anyone changed it?

If you go with the 5G manifold with the TB mounted MAP, just extend your harness and plug into that MAP. Believe it or not, it'll run better with the TB mounted MAP vs. the 4G firewall mounted MAP. Go figure...

yes i am using the 5G intake manifold
and yes i ma using the TB mounted MAP
runs better than the 4G MAP

Or for alot less hassle, have ZDyne or Hondata convert your ECU for V-teck, y0!

thnks for the info guys-but for now my vtec activation will be done courtesy of a msd switch.down the road it will be controlled my tec ems

i'm trying to stay obdo but i have a bored out throttle body form a 5th gen and i would like to use it.hence my question about the map sensor.off of the obdo throttle body one line runs to the evap canister on the 5th gen tbody there is nothing.so i'm trying to figure out where to run that hose now.

If I remember right, that's a vacuum line, and that can be teed into any vacuum line. Unless you're talking about the red braided line?
