Here is my dilemma; I’m trying to decide what engine to go with the K20A, K20A2 or the H22A. I’ve been doing my homework as far as how much Hp, torque, compression ratio is on each. I’ve tried google - ing to see if anyone know if is possible to put a K20A or K20A2 in a 2000 Honda Accord EX 4 DR. I’ve seen people with the H22A at the HIN show’s in some the Accords that I saw at that car show. I really like the like the look of the K20A and K20A2. By the way My Accord Is has an Automatic Transmission. Will this cause a problem doing an engine swap any of the three of these engines? I’ve been also looking at this on site that my buddy that in my unit brought an engine of this site http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/ his hasn’t run in to any problems with is CRX. Are there any other site out the you have personally brought an engine from and have had no problems with. What site do I need to avoid?
Thanks In advance,
Tyson

K-series will require custom mounts i believe, it will also be more difficult. will perform/look better.
H-series will be easier. good power output.

Whether or not your auto transmission will cause any problems depends on if you are replacing it or not.
If you are keeping your stock auto tranny, a K-series motor will not bolt up to it. An H-series will. However, you will be losing a lot in regards to acceleration by keeping your stock auto.
If you're buying a motor and manual tranny, then you should have no real problems. You would just need to get the necessary parts to convert your car to a manual.

I'd go with the H22 swap with less hassle and plus its alot cheaper but if I have the dough, I'd go with the K24 swap just cause there's not too many out there yet.

well I got a 2002 coupe tyson, and I love my h22a swap.
boughtit from hmotors online, had it shipped to a shop with the 5 spd lsd tranny, swapped it in with some custom mounts and wiring, and it is a fun motor in that accord.

I going with the K24A2 Found in: 2004-2006 Acura TSX; Displacement: 2354 cc; Bore and Stroke: 87 mm x 99 mm (3.43x3.90 inches); Compression: 10.5:1; Power: 205 hp (149 kW) @ 6800 rpm; Torque: 166 ft•lbf (225 N•m) @ 4500 rpm; Redline: 7100 rpm. From www.hmotorsonline.com I want to thank every one that posted for all there help. Now I have to go look for transmission for that engine cause they don't have the transmission that engine. Plus i have to look for custom motor mounts for the K24A2. Once again thanks....
Good luck with the swap
How much you looking to spend on this swap? There is going to be quite a bit of custom fabrication involved.

Well the engine it self is going to be like $1,900 from www.hmotorsonline.com
Going to buy that when i get back to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Gotta find a Tranny that go well with that I read that the Type S is the way to go. Still rescearching on tranny for the K24A2. Asking questions here and there. Have to find a place that can get custom Motor mounts. I know it's going to be a lot of work. Money wise for the total project I'm looking at about 8,000 to 10,000 when it all said and done. I going to be done in stages tho... Cause I don't have cash like that. My first thing is to get a good look at what i need for this project and where is the best places online to get them. I know where I'm going to get my engine from now. Next step it to find a tranny I like going to give me the most out of the K24A2. Then move to the headers, exausht system, cold air intake, Turbo with intercooler. Then move on to the body kit; lambo doors and have it painted two tone. Then I'm done for a while. Like I said I'm going to do it in stages. I want to work on the engine compartment first me and a few other guys are Mechanics in the Army we have Honda's. I'm the only one with Accord one guy has a Civic SI the other has a older CRX. So where always talking about who going have the nices ride.. I told them I wanted to go with K24A2 instead of the H22A1. Cause ever one else has done that and I want to be different and set a new standard when it all said and done. I hope that gave you a little more insite on what I want to do.. thank for the comments...
