Default sudden shut down on freeway

98 ls integra just shutdown on me while cruising about 75 on freeway. Pulled over posting from my blackberry! I still get power motor won't even try to crank just wines when I turn the key. What should I check!?

My 89 integra did this to me a few months back, suddenlly shut off while i was driving in the car pool lane on the freeway. It ended up being my Dizzy

if his distributor was bad he should still be able to crank the engine, right?

if i had to guess, i would probably say the alternator is toast..

check inside the dizzy cap..the rotor could have broken off..... happened to me....cruising on the highway and pop....didn't know until getting it towed home and replacing battery, fuel filter, and ignition module......check all these...the usual suspects... battery posts are loose, fuel pump is turning on when you turn the key, getting a spark...then open up the dist. cap.....good luck

Ok so got my car home and.......... Timing belt it didnt snap it stripped. So my crank pulley is basically spinning but there is no teeth to grab onto.

Got a new timing belt and putting in tomorrow praying to the integra gods that it wont be bad.

So now what dammage is done??
