Here is my eg9 front end i got in a few months ago. Still love it. :D I cannot figure out what the color code is. There is a similar color i've seen in the past, but at this past Import Alliance, the color is slightly different.

These are the options i'm looking at.

Granada Black Metallic Clearcoat NH-503P
Phantom Gray Pearl Clearcoat NH-561P
Horizon Gray Metallic Clearcoat RP-21M
Flint Black Metallic Clearcoat NH-526M

Google hasn't helped.

Phantom Gray? Don't see how it could be VSM.

 

Phantom Gray is very close but they're not quite the same. My color, is actually darker than it.

Is it an authentic JDM bumper? If so, then it's possible that the colour is one that was JDM-specific, and not on a list of USDM colours for the sedan.

btw, where did you get this list? i know a color or two is missing.

 

its probably phantom gray. U should stop by a ppg paint place and ask them to show u the sample book with that color there is like 3 different shades going from lighter to darker that they have for every paint code on little sample papers and match the best one that matches ur car.

 

Got the front end cleaned up. I'll get some pictures of it in the sun.

It looks black mostly, but once the sun hits it, you can definitely see some dark grey metallic going on in it with pearl so phatom grey could just be the color. I"ll get pics in a bit.

 

probably is phantom grey. it does have a pearl in it witch is hard to compare exactly form car to car. especially since maybe it was well taken care of (garaged, etc)

From the new pics I'd say Phantom Gray.

Didn't you check the color code in the driver's door jamb? For sedans it's usually in the lower corner. Overseas cars sometimes have them elsewhere.

shouldnt think about paint yet. should think about trying for your license ALL OVER AGAIN.

i say this because if u need that pole u r such a bad driver if u dont know where the front of ur car is.

that pole doesnt mean iots UBER JDM that pole makes u look stupid, amateur driver, and goes to show you use it which is just sad.

That list is for JDM 5G Sedan vehicles only. There are more that apply to vehicles for other markets (EDM, USDM, etc.) which aren't listed.

That pole also probably came already mounted on his EG9 front end like he said in his original post, so I would suggest you take two steps back and calm down with some breathing exercises.

 

I would definitely agree. I'm leaning more to Phantom Grey. I would of checked the door panel but i had the front portion of the car shipped to me (including RHD) but no door jam code. By the time i called back for the code, the car was already gone and i had nothing lol. I've googled some Phantom Grey cars, and the hondas it pulled up, seem to look very similar to what i have here. I appreciate the help man.

And of course I'm going to keep it because it is one more thing that adds a bit more characteristic to my car. I would ask you kindly to rethink what you just said, and think logically about it, but I'm afraid you couldn't comprehend that.


Yes, you are correct. Already mounted. I forgot all about it when i ordered the front end but i love the pole. Never use it except if someone asks me to raise it lol. I would never remove it because it would leave a hole in my bumper. I love it actually. lol

Also, who cares if he likes the parking pole or not? I can drive just fine (probably better than you can) and I still think they're a nice little piece, though I would want it on the proper side - the passenger side.

After having seen a Phantom Gray hatch yesterday (first time in awhile), I would definitely say it's Phantom. Do US sedans come in Phantom? It looks nice. I know most Phantom cars around here end up just looking like beat up old black cars.

Oh no! He's totally a biter for wanting to know a stock Honda color for the model he has!

 

I can definitely say i've never seen this color on a USDM four door before, so it leads me to believe it MAY have been a JDM color only. Though I could be wrong, and just have never seen it. I've seen close colors to Phantom Grey, but once it hits the sun, thats when it shows its beauty to me, and I love it even more.

And for the record. When someone tells me the bumper pole is on the wrong side, i normally respond with "No, the pole is correct, my dash is on the wrong side."

 

Phantom Gray is available here in the US on 5G hatchbacks. I don't think it came on sedans but I could be wrong.

I think the sedan would look nice in that color.
