I have another thread up with an 'identify this' part ...

wondering what the oil pressure sensor actually does? Is it a single pin out or dual?
thanks!

"Inside the switch there are 2 contacts that are spring loaded. They make contact (closed circuit) when there is not enough oil pressure and break the contact (open circuit) when there is pressure. " Got this off the net.
So it seems when oil fills the switch, it spreads the two contacts apart, breaking the circuit, letting the car know there is oil pressure.
