Default timing

Hello everyone i have a couple of questions. I have a d16z6 i just finished installing a turbo setup and i had a question about timing how much should i retard the cam or should i retard the crank or just use the distributor. i have a 14b turbo going to be at 8-10 psi i have 310cc rc injectors.
thank you for your help.

Time to invest in a Service Manual, Turbo that is. It depends on what set up you have and how much boost your doing. If you retard the timing way too much, you'll experience detonation.

thanks for the input guys im running a dsm 14b turbo at no more then 10 psi
but right now cause i think my oil pump just went out cause the head seized up the cam shaft i mean and its not getting any oil pressure so the project is on hold if the oil pump went out should i just rebuild the motor or do a motor swap or try to install a new oil pump how hard is it?

easy. you just got to jump on the task and dont get overwhelmed. you can do it with the motor in the car. good luck.

rgr that, not too hard to do with motor in the car

also, once you get it running again, leave the timing at stock 16btdc

chip your p28 and get it tuned properly

or you will have a big headache
