does anyone know what this light means? i just replaced the black plastic on my jdm sir cluster since i bought it with a usdm one and now that i put the jdm black plastic on theres a light there that i cant figure out...it looks like overheating engine but my car isnt over heating....anyone know what it could be?

You can barely see it on this cluster. I'm guessing it's the catalytic convertor.

 

yea it does kinda look like a catalytic converter...i have an exhaust on my car with no cat can that be the problem?

it has something to do with a temperature i am guessing since it has heat waves coming off the top

 

yes it is for the exhaust system/cat.....not sure what it really tells you but all the jdm cars had them!

its the catalyst efficiency/ temp light. jdm ecus will trigger that light instead of the CEL when a cat code comes up. IF.... i remember correctly.... lol

 

JDM vehicles have a catalytic converter temp/overheating sensor. That light comes on when there's a problem.

lol well i have a sir with a usdm gsr and aftermarket exhaust....could that be why?

Underneth ur shifter under the car is 2 litle wires that come ou for this (cat over heat sensor) if ur not running the jdm cat than just remove the light from ur cluster...its hella easy
