okay so i have had some major bad luck this past month. have lost my keys amoungst other things. i just bought a replacement ignition key cylinder and now my problem is i cant turn the old one to the 1 position to press the pin and pull out the old cylinder. please can anyone help me solve this problem!

Take your VIN number and proof of ownership (registration and insurance cards for example) to a Honda dealer. They should be able to cut a key based on the VIN, so it will fit the original lock cylinder. I have done this several times when my keys got so worn down that they no longer worked. Didn't cost much. They just get nervous about doing it if they aren't sure you own the car!

 

Sadly I bought the car after it had been fixed after beig salvage and it doesn't have the orignal cylinder. Do u know what page could help me out if I'm looking in a haynes manual?
