so is it just me or do our cars have the lamest sounding horns ever. This is one of the only things I do not enjoy about my car. Of course I would never install an aftermarket horn, but its frustrating when it comes time to honk. When I honk, I am usually trying to convey to another driver that they are doing something stupid or dangerous and that I am pissed at them. Unfortunately after my hand hits the steering wheel I almost have to laugh at myself because of the wimpy sound that comes out.
Just something I wish the honda would have considered in production. Sorry for the rant, just something I bet bothers fellow 8th geners

 

Why not get an aftermarket horn?

Even an Accord horn. Its a simple upgrade.

 

I replaced my civic horn with a dual hella horn twin pack - now very loud

Is this the 08+ Accord horn? My bro in law has an 06 Accord and it quite loud for a stock horn.

 

I love my little beep! I would also love a train horn too....IMO it aint a honda without the the beep!

 

Honestly imo the trian horn is an F'n retarded IDEA, **** is too loud on a train and has the ability to damage someones hearing. The idea of driving around and honking at people just to scare them is juvenile to say the least. I mean people really have nothing better to do with thier lives. Oh well guess this is just me, anywho Accord horn seems plenty enough of an upgrade but hey more power to those who want something louder.
Some train horns register at 140 decibels at source, and the human pain threshold is at 120-130, SO go figure use some F'n common sense and use the horn properly, I.e in the case of avoiding an accident with another motorvechicle not in suburban areas near pedestrian meeting areas. however the lot of you find it funny you are potentially damaging peoples hearing which could possibly result in deafness. Do some research before your go and do something stupid maybe you can learn something.

you can do the acccord horn but the 09 civic uses a dual tone horn one high one low tonemake sure you get the right ons for your year civic
