A few 5th gen Accord suspension questions
I'm considering getting back into the import game with another Accord, and I've been spitballing the idea of something not so common like a wagon. I'd love to do a dropped wagon, but my question, is there a difference in the coupe/sedan and wagon suspension setups? Reason I ask is that a lot of the lowered wagons appear to have terrible rear camber, but you don't see that hardly at all on the coupe/sedan. Didn't know if that was just lack of camber kit on the wagons for some reason, or if the rear suspension setup was different.
Also, has there ever been progress on the rear lower control arms? I've done some reading and it seems there was interest in the past, but I didn't know if any headway has been made on making this a reality.
I saw in some of the turbo car threads they are using a traction bar to eliminate wheel hop and put the power down. Are these safe to run hooked up all the time on the street?

Doesn't matter the chassis style, I've owned all 3. I rock a sedan right now thats lowered 4" on some coilovers and it has camber like nuts, yet it grips. Keep an eye on your treadwear and you'll be fine. I've got a set of Falken Ziex tires on my car, and the front ones are just now getting bald after putting them on in 2/2007- and I'll just rotate them.
To eliminate wheel hop, you probably should check into a set of motor mounts that are SOLID. Innovative 95A mounts are what I have, and they grip the road, no wheel hop, I'll put it in 1st, slam down the gas, and it eats the tires.
What are your plans with the Accord if you get one?

IF I get one, I'd like to 5 lug convert it, work the suspension over, and just rock it while I probably source an F series to build for boost to drop in the car. I've been reading over ash82's budget bottom end build, it has me VERY interested.
The suspension components themselves are the same. The spring rates are different. There are not any rear lower arms except for the 1 or 2 custom ones.
So do you just fix rear camber with longer bolts and washers? I saw some toe arms as well, would those be necessary?
And also, in doing the 5 lug conversion, since I'm swapping over front knuckles and spindles would I need to buy different lowering suspension pieces or just stick with the Accord specific parts?

The rear camber washer trick should work just fine, alternatively you can get the camber adjustment upper arms.
If you follow any of the FAQ's in regards to 5 lug your shock/spring setup stays the same.

I didn't know they made a camber adjustment arm for the rear? I saw that for the front, that would be the way I would go with it, it seems the best way to me.
Awesome, I never knew those existed, thanks!
So just a short rundown:
Full coilover suspension (anybody suggest a nice kit?)
Ingalls front camber arms
Rear camber arms
Rear toe links? (necessary or do without?)
F/R sway bars
This should give me a nicely setup suspension with proper geometry so I don't have tire wear issues correct? Any other suggestions I should look into?
