the tranny on my 1999 acura CL is gone. I found an H22 auto tranny from 94-97 prelude. IM about to buy it and put it in my 1999 CL.

1. Will it bolt up?
2. Will there be a problem with the TCU?
I read in the threads here in HT that F22 trannys may not fit to F23 because they have different TCU. They said that TCU in F23 is built-in in the ECU while TCU in F22 is separate from the ECU.

Is it also the case in H22 tranny?

PLs help me with this. I dont want to get into trouble of replacing the ECU.. Thanks in advance

 

yes it will bolt up and no it will not run since they are 2 different designs. The TCU and ECM are combined into one for that car

V6 or I4?

F and H are all interchange-able; same goes with clutch & flywheel. So no mods needed.

 

NOT GOING TO WORK, it will bolt up but ECM and TCU are one unit on the CL versus 2 on the Prelude and the electrical connectors are different as well
