hey i have a 2000 gsr and i was driving to town today and all of a sudden my car died, lost all mechanical power, only the cd player and such stayed on, so i tried to start it back up and it would only turn over and not fire up. So i pop the hood and see a good amount of smoke coming out of the back by the firewall, i look down and see flames at the bottom, just a little fire, so i grab water and splash it on and put it out.

I then waited a bit and attempted to start it again, and just like before, only turns over, but doesnt start. So i checked my ecu to see what codes and i got 6 and 9, but could it be 69? or just 6 and 9? any help will be apprieciated!

any help on what codes these are can help as well. and its obd2

 

any help? it threw a 6 and a 9 code, what are they?

 

6 is coolant temperature sensor and 9 is cyp sensor in the distributor. could also be main relay.

 

okay thanks, i will call the shop it is at and tell them what could be wrong. I just hope its not royally screwed from the fire
